Founded on autonomy and intention
AIRIK ART & ENTERTAINMENT CO. (AAEC) was founded in March 2022 by multidisciplinary artist and creative director Airik Crawford. After years of working as a freelance filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist, Airik sought something greater than simply producing content: ownership over the stories being told, and a creative practice rooted in art direction, elegance, and intentionality.
AAEC was created as a response to an industry that often prioritizes speed over substance and trends over timelessness. Here, visual experiences are treated as works of art, and stories are preserved with care, beauty, and purpose.
Airik Crawford
Eric Boyd Crawford Jr., professionally known as Airik Crawford, was raised on the West Side of Chicago and embodies the spirit of the city itself: resilient, imaginative, and unapologetically bold. A graduate of Knox College with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, he approaches visual storytelling from the perspective of an artist first, drawing on painting, design, composition, and creative theory. His work draws inspiration from fine art, architecture, fashion, cinema, music, community, Black culture, and history.
To create meaningful visual experiences that preserve stories, inspire culture, and elevate communities through creativity and excellence.
