The Brief
Once a close collaborator of Future and Freeband Gang, Trey Trey built a national career that included touring and working alongside artists such as Tory Lanez. Originally envisioned as a companion piece to his album 33rd, the project evolved into a tribute documentary following his tragic passing — preserving his story and impact for his family, fans, and the Chicago music community.
The Approach
AAEC directed, produced, co-edited, and conducted interviews for the 80-minute documentary from concept through completion — coordinating interviews, shaping the narrative, and overseeing post-production. More than a music documentary, it explores legacy, loss, resilience, and the realities facing young artists.
